Privacy on the Internet
  This is a work in progress about Privacy on the Internet.

  With the rising concern for privacy in the ever expanding realm of E-Commerce and Advertising on the Internet, it is more important than ever to understand where we stand and what we can do to protect our privacy.   This page will try to shed a little light on the subject and help us and our friends to become more aware as we learn more about the Net, the World Wide Web and how it concerns information that is collected and used.

  In the Links below you will find websites that tell us about what information is collected and in turn how it is possible to build data bases upon this info.   There are links to sites that inform us about what is going on in the world of Internet Privacy and how things are changing from day to day.   Congress and most of the States are in the process of looking at this subject and trying to enact laws that will govern the regulation and use of information collected about us.
  There is a big concern about cookies and companies like *DoubleClick Inc.* and how they use this information. What are their future plans are for obtaining and using this info to build data bases that these companies share and sell amongst themselves?   All this is done so that they can target ads that are specific to things you are interested in and related to things you have already bought on the Internet.

  At this point in time I am just beginning to scratch the surface of understanding all this myself.   The purpose of this page is to help me organize and present information that will help us all to understand this subject even better.
